Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Finnigan McMichel made the kick off which started today's match. If Rory Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Randal Cassin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute Brennen Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevin Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rory Deans was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Garr FC's Suibhne McCollion got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 16 played minutes Garr FC got a freekick which was hit by Suibhne McCollion. After recieving a nice pass, Cloongowla's Paudraig McLaughlin tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rory Deans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Breffni Tracy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kerrigan Mullan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Brennen Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevin Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th of the match, Rory Deans tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Breffni Tracy got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 29 minutes, Bera Gallagher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cloongowla and the Garr FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cloongowla! Biviti Todd, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 35 played minutes Garr FC got a freekick which was hit by Donegan McJames. Garr FC's Breffni Tracy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Deans in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Brennen Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garr FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brennen Ryan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tevin Coyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Finnigan McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tevin Coyle having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rory Deans to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bressal Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloongowla's supporters rose to their feet, but Bressal Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breffni Tracy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Breffni Tracy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Deans in the 55th minute of the match. Rory Deans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breffni Tracy having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Garr FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donegan McJames to maneuver through the defense. Brennen Ryan took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tevin Coyle. Tevin Coyle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rory Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Breffni Tracy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tevin Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finnigan McMichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rory Deans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kerrigan Mullan took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Breffni Tracy. Breffni Tracy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Cloongowla's Rory Deans got a free kick in the 87th minute. Bressal Hamilton struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Breffni Tracy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloongowla. Breffni Tracy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rory Deans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breffni Tracy was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. If Kerrigan Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
