The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 5 in the game by Bradain McGlenn from a close distance when the talented Breffni Tracy managed to make a qualified save. Garr FC's players were relieved. Barraduff's Basil Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennen Ryan in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Barraduff's goal looked a bit too open when Brennen Ryan came free, but Basil Ferguson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Brefni McGlenn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Breffni Tracy. Brefni McGlenn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Brennen Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A collision led to Barraduff getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Brefni McGlenn hit a great ball. Brennen Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ferguson having to interfere. Finnigan McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Finnigan McMichel to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Brennen Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garr FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brennen Ryan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Barraduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanche McSteven to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Finnigan McMichel in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basil Ferguson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Finnigan McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garr FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Finnigan McMichel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basil Ferguson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Becan McJon kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Garr FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brefni McGlenn came free, but Breffni Tracy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brennen Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Barraduff getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ros McBrand hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brefni McGlenn in the 84th minute of play forced Garr FC's goalkeeper Breffni Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Begg Deans during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Barraduff getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Begg Deans hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barraduff fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Brennen Ryan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Basil Ferguson made a huge save. Finnigan McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Garr FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barraduff.
