In the 5th match minute, Crumpane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bannon McFrank to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Royan Savic sped through Ballinamult's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Breenan Cooney. In the 28th minute Rolan Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eoghan Kelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bannon McFrank's late challenge caught a Ballinamult's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bannon McFrank helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Crumpane were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eoghan Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolan Gollogley, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Ballinamult was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rordan McIan to maneuver through the defense. Ballinamult's Tathan McBrandon was substituted for Rolan Gollogley. Ballinamult's Derin Gollogley was substituted for Bard Hughes. After some careless play in the Crumpane defense, Barock McPaul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eoghan Kelly. The Crumpane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eoghan Kelly should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barock McPaul in the 74th minute of play forced Crumpane's goalkeeper Eoghan Kelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ballinamult booed when Crumpane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bannon McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Crumpane! The referee gave Ballinamult a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Brennon Savic, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Crumpane's Eoghan Kelly. 2-1. 90 minutes into the match, Tathan McBrandon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eoghan Kelly. Crumpane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tathan McBrandon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Eoghan Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barock McPaul, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
