Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Finbar McBrand made the kick off which started today's match. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Finbar McBrand took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Geralt McCollion to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the match, Fahy's goalkeeper Geralt McCollion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Finbar McBrand. Bernard Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braonain McLiam in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Fahy defense, Finbar McBrand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geralt McCollion. The Fahy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geralt McCollion should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Fahy's Braonain McLiam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernard Cooney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Fahy's Tadhg Jameson got a free kick in the 38th minute. Fahy's Geralt McCollion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Fahy from getting a goal against them. When Brennon McFrancise came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Fahy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brennon McFrancise couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Braonain McLiam made the kick off in the second half. Breck Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geralt McCollion having to interfere. Ballyhook FC's Bernard Cooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braonain McLiam in the 55th minute of play. If Egan McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rowe McJohn during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rowe McJohn hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match Tadhg Jameson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernard Cooney skillfully saved the ball. Braonain McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bernard Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Finbar McBrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geralt McCollion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Ballyhook FC's Bernard Cooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braonain McLiam in the 72nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Finbar McBrand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballyhook FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ballyhook FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Fahy for much of the match.
