Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Emmet Brennan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Brain Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey McPaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aubrey McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beccan McPhil in the 6th minute of the match. Harley McWill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berke McOliver in the 15th minute of play. Berke McOliver hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Emmet Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aubrey McPaul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmet Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua McPhil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Aubrey McPaul made a huge save. Harley McWill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermot Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Bedilia Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harley McWill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dermot Jameson's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Cork's Aubrey McPaul proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cork from getting a goal against them. In the 41stth minute of the game Brain Matthews who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cork's Aubrey McPaul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aubrey McPaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmet Brennan in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dermot Jameson in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harley McWill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Dermot Jameson made the kick off in the second half. Drumoghill's Emmet Brennan got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Cork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donoghue Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Fergus Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aubrey McPaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harley McWill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendan Lavine in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cork's Donoghue Ramsey got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute, Brendan Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Drumoghill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beccan McPhil to maneuver through the defense. Brain Matthews struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Aubrey McPaul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumoghill. The Drumoghill manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Cork to win.
