If Braonain McLiam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brigid Doherty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braonain McLiam in the 10th minute of play. Brennon McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Brigid Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brigid Doherty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brennon McFrancise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fahy's Geralt McCollion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ros Doherty in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Bragan McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bragan McDecland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brennon McFrancise in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brigid Doherty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brennon McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braonain McLiam succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Brigid Doherty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braonain McLiam in the 29th minute of the match. When Braonain McLiam came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Fahy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braonain McLiam couldn't finish the play. Derren's Brigid Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennon McFrancise in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braonain McLiam in the 46th minute of play forced Derren's goalkeeper Brigid Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ros Doherty stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Fahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glen Doyle to maneuver through the defense. Bragan McDecland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Geralt McCollion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fahy's Egan McTom got a free kick in the 60th minute. Derren's Brennon Ryan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fahy. Geralt McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ros Doherty in the 64th minute of play. Brennon McFrancise might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brigid Doherty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brennon McFrancise ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the game, Braonain McLiam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brigid Doherty. Braonain McLiam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Brigid Doherty didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fahy's Braonain McLiam shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. If Brennon McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Derren getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Gehan Savic hit a great ball. Brennon McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Brigid Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fahy's Geralt McCollion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ros Doherty in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Egan McTom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match, Beiti Beckett got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brigid Doherty was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Egan McTom fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fahy's protests and gave Egan McTom a yellow card for diving instead. Brennon McFrancise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brigid Doherty read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Brigid Doherty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brennon McFrancise in the 95th minute. When the match was over Fahy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Derren throughout the match.
