Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballyhook FC's Finbar McBrand started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Aodh McIan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernard Cooney. Ballyhook FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aodh McIan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 21 minutes, Aodh McIan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glensmill and the Ballyhook FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Aodh McIan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Finbar McBrands short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Samueil Lester to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Glensmill booed when Ballyhook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finbar McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Glensmill getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Leon Savic hit a great ball. Breck Costello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Samueil Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ballyhook FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Rorry Scully hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Glensmill got a freekick which was hit by Aodh McIan. Breck Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quirk Walker to make the kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Aodh McIan from a close distance when the talented Bernard Cooney managed to make a qualified save. Ballyhook FC's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice moves Aodh McIan could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Bernard Cooney however easily saved by the left post. After 62 played minutes, Ballyhook FC's Samuel Silke shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samueil Lester came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballyhook FC reached it. Bernard Cooney came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Glensmill's Aodh McIan. But to his dismay, Aodh McIan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Artur Duggan fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyhook FC's protests and gave Artur Duggan a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Ballyhook FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Duggan. A collision led to Glensmill getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Leon Savic hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ballyhook FC's Rorry Scully got a free kick in the 86th minute. Bernard Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quirk Walker in the 90th minute of play. Glensmill's Leon Savic shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bernard Cooney but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quirk Walker in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard Cooney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Glensmill booed when Ballyhook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Silke didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Glensmill walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
