Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ros Doherty kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Derren booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devlin Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aubrey McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gehan Savic, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Ros Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Ryley McTommy threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cork's Bedilia Deery quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Berke McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Doherty having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dermot Jameson to make the kick off. Renny McWilliam did an outstanding performance 53 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Brigid Doherty in the goal. In the 56th minute, Berke McOliver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cork's attentive Bedilia Deery managed to snatch the ball when Ryley McTommy made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Dermot Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Doherty having to interfere. Renny McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brigid Doherty didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cork's Dermot Jameson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 73 minutes into the game, Renny McWilliam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
