Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballinamult's Breenan Cooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finbar McBrand in the 7th minute of play. Breenan Cooney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Finbar McBrand went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute, Finbar McBrand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Finbar McBrand notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ballinamult's Breenan Cooney. Breenan Cooney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, Ballinamult's goal looked a bit too open when Finbar McBrand came free, but Breenan Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31st play minutes Finbar McBrand shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Breenan Cooney and just under the crossbar into goal. Ballyhook FC's Bernard Cooney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ballyhook FC from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Ballyhook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boyle Silke came free, but Bernard Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Finbar McBrand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breenan Cooney having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyle Silke was the one to do the kick off. Finbar McBrand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breenan Cooney having to make a save. Ballinamult's Barock McPaul was substituted for Boyle Silke. Tathan McBrandon scored 1-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Cooney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Breenan Cooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finbar McBrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Ballyhook FC's Finbar McBrand dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 80th match minute, Ballyhook FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finbar McBrand to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes, Breck Costello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyhook FC and the Ballinamult players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ballinamult booed when Ballyhook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breck Costello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernard Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathma Taylor in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Ballyhook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barock McPaul came free, but Bernard Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breck Costello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breenan Cooney having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Finbar McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyhook FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Finbar McBrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Ballyhook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brennon Savic came free, but Bernard Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Ballyhook FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ballinamult had held the ball for most of the match.
