But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolan Gollogley couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ballinamult's Rolan Gollogley got a free kick in the 21st minute. Finbar McBrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Breck Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th match minute, Ballyhook FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Silke to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Gehan Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ballinamult's Breenan Cooney got control of the ball when Finbar McBrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Ballyhook FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Breck Costello hit a great ball. Rolan Gollogley took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernard Cooney. Bernard Cooney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Finbar McBrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Breck Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boyle Silke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Ballyhook FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Ballyhook FC's Finbar McBrand looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Bernard Cooney successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ballinamult made a substitution. Derin Gollogley replaced Bard Hughes. Barock McPaul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Bernard Cooney made a huge save. Breck Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tathan McBrandon in the 70th minute of play forced Ballyhook FC's goalkeeper Bernard Cooney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rorry Scully during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Ballyhook FC got a freekick which was hit by Rorry Scully. Bernard Cooney acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fiachra McBjarton. The supporters of Ballinamult booed when Ballyhook FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donelle Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ballyhook FC's Breck Costello managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fiachra McBjarton in the 85 minute of the game. When Donelle Willson came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ballyhook FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donelle Willson couldn't finish the play. Bernard Cooney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tathan McBrandon in the 91st minute of the match. Breenan Cooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breck Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ballinamult players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
