With a left leg Breffni Tracy saved Garr FC from getting behind. Royan Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blathma McWill's late challenge caught a Crumpane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blathma McWill helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Garr FC! Darick Delaney shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Brennen Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Finnigan McMichel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eoghan Kelly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Royan Savic in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breffni Tracy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bin McTommy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Breffni Tracy. Garr FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Donegan McJames charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donegan McJames the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Garr FC's Donegan McJames got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Abbot Branson got free in front of the goal in the 35th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Breffni Tracy was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abbot Branson in the 38th minute of play forced Garr FC's goalkeeper Breffni Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Suibhne McCollion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Crumpane's Darick Delaney tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Royan Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abbot Branson to strike the kick off in the second half. Finnigan McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eoghan Kelly having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Royan Savic notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Garr FC's Breffni Tracy. Breffni Tracy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Royan Savic in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Breffni Tracy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Royan Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abbot Branson in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Abbot Branson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crumpane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abbot Branson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Crumpane's Eoghan Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finnigan McMichel in the 72nd minute of play. Abbot Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breffni Tracy having to interfere. When Finnigan McMichel, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eoghan Kelly was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bannon McFrank's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breffni Tracy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. With his leg Breffni Tracy managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Crumpane's Royan Savic fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Garr FC's Breffni Tracy got control of the ball when Royan Savic tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Garr FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Donegan McJames hit a great ball. Royan Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breffni Tracy having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Crumpane players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
