Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Abbot Branson got the match started through his kick off. After 4 minutes, Artur Duggan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyhook FC and the Crumpane players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Artur Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Darick Delaney came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Crumpane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darick Delaney couldn't finish the play. When Bannon McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Crumpane fans jumped to their feet. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ballyhook FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Finbar McBrand who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Eoghan Kelly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 21st minute Abbot Branson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Cooney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bannon McFrank scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Cooney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ballyhook FC's Bernard Cooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Royan Savic in the 27th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Ballyhook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abbot Branson came free, but Bernard Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernard Cooney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Royan Savic, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Royan Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Cooney having to interfere. When Royan Savic came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Crumpane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Royan Savic couldn't finish the play. Beineon McCready's late challenge caught a Crumpane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beineon McCready helped the player get up and apologised.

The wind increased when Finbar McBrand made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Breck Costello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abbot Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 minutes of play, Ballyhook FC's Finbar McBrand made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eoghan Kelly was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernard Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abbot Branson in the 66th minute of play. Crumpane's Abbot Branson got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Finbar McBrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bannon McFrank kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Finbar McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyhook FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Finbar McBrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eoghan Kelly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Finbar McBrand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eoghan Kelly having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Crumpane's goal looked a bit too open when Finbar McBrand came free, but Eoghan Kelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernard Cooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abbot Branson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pearce McPhil hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
