Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Cahersherkin Utd's zone, Boyle McGlenn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barley Hutton came out of the goal and Boyle McGlenn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiomoid Gillmour in the 8th minute of play forced Monneill AFC's goalkeeper Colm McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 10 in the game by Roy Kelly from a close distance when the talented Barley Hutton managed to make a qualified save. Cahersherkin Utd's players were relieved. When Monneill AFC's Boyle McGlenn in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cahersherkin Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Colm McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiomoid Gillmour in the 21st minute of play. Cahersherkin Utd's Herygh Ghee got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joseph Frankson hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Herygh Ghee managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cahersherkin Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Herygh Ghee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colm McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cahersherkin Utd's Boyne McBrand got a free kick in the 40th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boyle McGlenn to make the kick off. With his leg Colm McGlynn managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Cahersherkin Utd's Herygh Ghee fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Colm McGlynn made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Herygh Ghee sent off a good shot on target. Herygh Ghee who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Colm McGlynn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyle McGlenn in the 70th minute of play forced Cahersherkin Utd's goalkeeper Barley Hutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monneill AFC's Colm McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiomoid Gillmour in the 78th minute of play. Roy Kelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herygh Ghee could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Colm McGlynn made a huge save. When Tiomoid Gillmour came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cahersherkin Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiomoid Gillmour couldn't finish the play. If Herygh Ghee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
