In the 6th minute Patraic McDecland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adamnan Hamilton scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Mullan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rathwire's Edwin Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamnan Hamilton in the 17th minute of play. Patraic McDecland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Mullan having to interfere. Moylemuck Utd's Jonathan McSteve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Martyn in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Heremon McLiam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathwire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heremon McLiam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute of the match, Lee Martyn tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan McSteve saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rathwire's goalkeeper Edwin Mullan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, one of Rathwire:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rathwire. Rathwire:s Edwin Mullan showed great skill when he stopped Benen McDonald:s penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Patraic McDecland made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Martyn in the 51st minute of play forced Moylemuck Utd's goalkeeper Jonathan McSteve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patraic McDecland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blar Palmer during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Blar Palmer hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the game, Banan Benson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 68th match minute, Moylemuck Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bivadas Johnson to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Lee Martyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Heremon McLiam made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan McSteve. Moylemuck Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Edwin Mullan made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Adamnan Hamilton sent off a good shot on target. Edwin Mullan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patraic McDecland's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
