Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lee Martyn started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Braedon Palmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drumbilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rorke Scully came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Rathwire's Heremon McLiam. But to his dismay, Heremon McLiam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Caoilte Tracy came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Drumbilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caoilte Tracy couldn't finish the play. Caoilte Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Edwin Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heremon McLiam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rorke Scully having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Drumbilla's goal looked a bit too open when Lee Martyn came free, but Rorke Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Heremon McLiam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rorke Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rorke Scully stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lee Martyn's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Drumbilla's zone, Heremon McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rorke Scully came out of the goal and Heremon McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edwin Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caoilte Tracy in the 35th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Lee Martyn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rorke Scully. That made the score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match, Lee Martyn tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rorke Scully saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerald Colwell was the one to do the kick off. When Rathwire's Lee Martyn in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drumbilla's goalie prevented a goal. Caoilte Tracy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Edwin Mullan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Davie Horgan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Lee Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Rathwire's goalkeeper Edwin Mullan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caoilte Tracy. A hard shot 67 in the game by Gerald Colwell from a close distance when the talented Edwin Mullan managed to make a qualified save. Rathwire's players were relieved. When Caoilte Tracy came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Drumbilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caoilte Tracy couldn't finish the play. Rorke Scully didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lee Martyn went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Rathwire's zone, Gerald Colwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Mullan came out of the goal and Gerald Colwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Lee Martyn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rathwire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drumbilla the free kick. A collision led to Rathwire getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lee Martyn hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caoilte Tracy got free with Edwin Mullan in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edwin Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Colwell in the 87th minute of play. Gerald Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Mullan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heremon McLiam in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rorke Scully prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rathwire had won after a very even match.
