Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shanvally's Renny Jameson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Conn Cooney was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, one of Drumbilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drumbilla. Healey Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caoilte Tracy, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Renny Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brendanus Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rorke Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Healey Hamilton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braedon Palmer went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Renny Jameson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rorke Scully having to make a save. Braedon Palmer's late challenge caught a Shanvally's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braedon Palmer helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Drumbilla got a freekick which was hit by Braedon Palmer. Caoilte Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Healey Hamilton having to interfere. When Caoilte Tracy came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Drumbilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caoilte Tracy couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Braedon Palmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Healey Hamilton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Don McPhilip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caoilte Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caoilte Tracy was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Herygh McIan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Healey Hamilton. That made the score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. Caoilte Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Healey Hamilton having to interfere. Rorke Scully made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renny Jameson in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the Shanvally defense, Herygh McIan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Healey Hamilton. The Shanvally fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Healey Hamilton should have stopped the shot. If Renny Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Shanvally's Healey Hamilton got control of the ball when Caoilte Tracy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Healey Hamilton made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Caoilte Tracy sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Shanvally's Artuir McPeter got a free kick in the 95th minute. Drumbilla's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
