Cleary Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Comhghall Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salmon McSteven, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Cuilkillew's Cleary Lester in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moytirra Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Finn Silke made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ron Costello sent off a good shot on target. Salmon McSteven kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Comhghall Coyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bhrighde Taylor in the 33rd minute of the match. John McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, John McLian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bhrighde Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Cuilkillew got a freekick which was hit by Seán Ryan. Cuilkillew's Finn Silke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Cuilkillew from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bhrighde Taylor to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Moytirra Utd's goalkeeper Comhghall Coyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleary Lester. A collision led to Moytirra Utd getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bairne Deery hit a great ball. Salmon McSteven kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John McLian in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Finn Silke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 played minutes Moytirra Utd got a freekick which was hit by Breaghdha Cronin. The supporters of Moytirra Utd booed when Cuilkillew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Keelin Costello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moytirra Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuilkillew the free kick. Keelin Costello hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Moytirra Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boddibevve Jameson to maneuver through the defense. Derin Frankson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Keelin Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 played minutes Cuilkillew got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Holt. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Moytirra Utd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cuilkillew had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
