Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Belgard Utd's Donlevy Frankson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Cashel Taylor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Killmacomma's zone, Donlevy Frankson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donleavy Lester came out of the goal and Donlevy Frankson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donleavy Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryland Branson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Killmacomma's goal looked a bit too open when Donlevy Frankson came free, but Donleavy Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Donlevy Frankson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Donleavy Lester was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cashel Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dane McGlenn fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killmacomma's protests and gave Dane McGlenn a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Dane McGlenn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belgard Utd's Joseph McJohnny couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Killmacomma. The supporters of Belgard Utd booed when Killmacomma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmet Beckett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belgard Utd's Ryland Branson got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donlevy Frankson in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donleavy Lester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ryland Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Killmacomma's Turlough McGlynn got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cashel Taylor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Killmacomma's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Belgard Utd's Turlough Cronin got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Belgard Utd were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Cashel Taylor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Turlough Cronin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgard Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turlough Cronin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Belgard Utd's Trevor MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turlough McGlynn in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Killmacomma were awarded a corner. Troy Rutherford went to the cornerflag to take it. Killmacomma's Troy Rutherford was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Trevor MaCollin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Todd John's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trevor MaCollin was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Cashel Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor MaCollin having to interfere. Cashel Taylor struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Trevor MaCollin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killmacomma. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cashel Taylor in the 76th minute of play forced Belgard Utd's goalkeeper Trevor MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Belgard Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Cashel Taylor came free, but Trevor MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryland Branson in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Donleavy Lester, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emmet Beckett kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Donleavy Lester made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ryland Branson sent off a good shot on target. Belgard Utd's Ryland Branson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, Killmacomma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmet Beckett to maneuver through the defense. Ryland Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cashel Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cashel Taylor came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Killmacomma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cashel Taylor couldn't finish the play. Belgard Utd were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Killmacomma's much stronger midfield.
