Braoin McStephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beara McBjarton, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 10 played minutes Leap AFC got a freekick which was hit by Isaac McAlphie. After 11 played minutes, Glannagaul's Taveon Beckett shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bannan Tierney came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glannagaul reached it. After 16 minutes, Breas McJohn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leap AFC and the Glannagaul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leap AFC's Breas McJohn got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Taveon Beckett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bannan Tierney skillfully saved the ball. Braoin McStephen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beatty Murphy went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Dermot Harkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quirk Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bannan Tierney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duff Scully went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Dermot Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leap AFC's Bannan Tierney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quirk Todd in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beara McBjarton to make the kick off. Sameer Dempsey's late challenge caught a Leap AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sameer Dempsey helped the player get up and apologised. 53 minutes into the game, one of Glannagaul:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dermot Harkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 66th minute of the match Breas McJohn completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Breas McJohn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After having played for 71 minutes, Quirk Todd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glannagaul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quirk Todd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bannan Tierney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermot Harkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the game, Glannagaul's Quirk Todd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bannan Tierney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Isaac McAlphie struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Braoin McStephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leap AFC. After a rather tough play, Leap AFC's Devlin Savic got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Leap AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Quirk Todd came free, but Bannan Tierney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bannan Tierney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermot Harkin in the 87th minute of the match. If Quirk Todd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dermot Harkin might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bannan Tierney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dermot Harkin ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quirk Todd in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bannan Tierney saved Leap AFC from getting behind. Quirk Todd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bannan Tierney having to interfere. Glannagaul were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
