After a rather tough play, Boolyglass's Kevin McJon got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Bil McPeter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barram Robinson. Boolyglass's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bil McPeter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Boolyglass's supporters rose to their feet, but Brendan Duggan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Ballynakilla Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
