Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Boolyglass's Desmond Doherty started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Killmacomma's Emmet Beckett got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Turlough McGlynn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kevin McJon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute of the match, Turlough McGlynn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Barram Robinson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Cashel Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donleavy Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond Doherty in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Killmacomma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmet Beckett to maneuver through the defense. Turlough McGlynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Desmond Doherty came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Boolyglass fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desmond Doherty couldn't finish the play. If Desmond Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donleavy Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendan Duggan in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cashel Taylor to strike the kick off in the second half. Donleavy Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desmond Doherty in the 51st minute of the match. Turlough McGlynn scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barram Robinson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cashel Taylor in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barram Robinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Desmond Doherty took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donleavy Lester. Donleavy Lester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Turlough McGlynn in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barram Robinson saved Boolyglass from getting behind. A collision led to Killmacomma getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Troy Rutherford hit a great ball. Barram Robinson came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Killmacomma's Cashel Taylor. But to his dismay, Cashel Taylor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After having played for 94 minutes, Desmond Doherty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boolyglass's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desmond Doherty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
