The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Ballynakilla Utd's Gealan Cassin threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bil McPeter, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rowland Glen Crowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breck Hutton in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Ballynakilla Utd's Barcvni Doyle seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Barcvni Doyle the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ballynakilla Utd protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Barcvni Doyle had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Ballynakilla Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ballyconnel:s goal. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Ballyconnel. Breck Hutton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rowland Glen Crowe. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breck Hutton in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rowland Glen Crowe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rowland Glen Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breck Hutton in the 23rd minute of play. Rowland Glen Crowe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremiah McStephen went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Breck Hutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rowland Glen Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremiah McStephen in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rowland Glen Crowe saved Ballynakilla Utd from getting behind. Jeremiah McStephen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin got control of the ball when Glen McLaughlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 51st minute, Glen McLaughlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glen McLaughlin during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ballyconnel's Torrian McFrancise got a free kick in the 65th minute. Gealan Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen McLaughlin in the 66th minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Treno Ramsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballynakilla Utd and the Ballyconnel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Ballynakilla Utd got a freekick which was hit by Treno Ramsey. When the final whistle sounded Ballyconnel left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ballynakilla Utd.
