Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Leap AFC's Bannan Tierney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bhrighde Taylor in the 3rd minute of play. Beara McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Leap AFC's Branson Cronin got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Cleary Lester came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Cuilkillew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleary Lester couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, Leap AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bhrighde Taylor came free, but Bannan Tierney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Beara McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leap AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beara McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beatty Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Finn Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenn Holt hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Beatty Murphy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Cuilkillew's Finn Silke got control of the ball when Beatty Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Cuilkillew's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Beatty Murphy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 33 minutes, Bhrighde Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuilkillew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bhrighde Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleary Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bannan Tierney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Cleary Lester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Bhrighde Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuilkillew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bhrighde Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Leap AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cleary Lester came free, but Bannan Tierney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Bhrighde Taylor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bannan Tierney was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beara McBjarton was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Cuilkillew's Cleary Lester sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bannan Tierney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Bhrighde Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finn Silke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beatty Murphy , who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Bhrighde Taylor charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bhrighde Taylor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bhrighde Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salmon McSteven in the 67th minute of play forced Leap AFC's goalkeeper Bannan Tierney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Finn Silke came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Leap AFC's Beara McBjarton. But to his dismay, Beara McBjarton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cleary Lesters short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Bannan Tierney to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Beatty Murphy took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Finn Silke. Finn Silke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Beara McBjarton's late challenge caught a Cuilkillew's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beara McBjarton helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 minutes, Bradon McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuilkillew and the Leap AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cuilkillew getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Bradon McFrank hit a great ball. Bannan Tierney made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cleary Lester sent off a good shot on target. Isaac McAlphie's late challenge caught a Cuilkillew's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac McAlphie helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cuilkillew booed when Leap AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac McAlphie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Cleary Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuilkillew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleary Lester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bannan Tierney made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Cleary Lester sent off a good shot on target. Beatty Murphy 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Finn Silke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Cleary Lester struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Bannan Tierney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuilkillew. Leap AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
