Leap AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beara McBjarton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bairthmead McCollion hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 28 minutes in the game, Ryland Branson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bannan Tierney having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Donlevy Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgard Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Donlevy Frankson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bannan Tierney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Beara McBjarton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beatty Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Trevor MaCollin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beara McBjarton struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Trevor MaCollin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leap AFC. 47 minutes into the game, Belgard Utd's Ryland Branson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bannan Tierney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beara McBjarton to make the kick off. When Isaac McAlphie came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Leap AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac McAlphie couldn't finish the play. Trevor MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beara McBjarton in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Leap AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. After taking down the ball on Belgard Utd's corner Joseph McJohnny fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bannan Tierney quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ryland Branson in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bannan Tierney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Beatty Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Breanainn Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trevor MaCollin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beara McBjarton, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Breanainn Kirby charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Breanainn Kirby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Breanainn Kirby hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The Belgard Utd players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
