Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cashel Taylor took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute of the match, Breck Hutton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Donleavy Lester was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breck Hutton got free with Donleavy Lester in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 10 minutes of play, Killmacomma's Emmet Beckett made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gealan Cassin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gealan Cassin came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Killmacomma's Emmet Beckett. But to his dismay, Emmet Beckett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gealan Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cashel Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Killmacomma's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McStephen came free, but Donleavy Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Ballyconnel got a freekick which was hit by Baolach Taylor. Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cashel Taylor in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Todd John shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gealan Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Killmacomma's Donleavy Lester proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Killmacomma from getting a goal against them. Donleavy Lester made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Breck Hutton sent off a good shot on target. Breck Hutton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Donleavy Lester made a huge save. In the 38th minute Jeremiah McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donleavy Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Killmacomma's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McStephen came free, but Donleavy Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Cashel Taylor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gealan Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Jeremiah McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turlough McGlynns short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Gealan Cassin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 59 minutes into the match, Killmacomma's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McStephen came free, but Donleavy Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breck Hutton in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donleavy Lester saved Killmacomma from getting behind. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jeremiah McStephen sped through Killmacomma's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donleavy Lester. In the 69th minute Jeremiah McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donleavy Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breck Hutton in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donleavy Lester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jeremiah McStephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyconnel's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremiah McStephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donleavy Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cashel Taylor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gealan Cassin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Killmacomma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmet Beckett to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Ballyconnel's Brant Beckett shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donleavy Lester came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballyconnel reached it. Donleavy Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 82nd minute of play. Donleavy Lester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breck Hutton's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute Jeremiah McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donleavy Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 played minutes Killmacomma got a freekick which was hit by Todd John. 92 minutes into the match, Killmacomma's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremiah McStephen came free, but Donleavy Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donleavy Lester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Killmacomma succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ballyconnel had controlled the match.
