An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac McAlphie in the 12th minute of play forced Ballaghmore's goalkeeper Cathal Ramsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ballaghmore's zone, Beatty Murphy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cathal Ramsey came out of the goal and Beatty Murphy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cathal Ramsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beara McBjarton in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Leap AFC defense, Gerard Willson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bannan Tierney. The Leap AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bannan Tierney should have stopped the shot. Tathan McSteve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bannan Tierney having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Breas McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes in the game, Beatty Murphy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cathal Ramsey having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Breasal MaCollin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leap AFC and the Ballaghmore players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bannan Tierney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tathan McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gerard Willson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beara McBjarton was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tathan McSteve couldn't finish the play. Gerard Willson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Breas McJohn charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Breas McJohn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Leap AFC's Breas McJohn got a free kick in the 93rd minute. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, Leap AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tathan McSteve came free, but Bannan Tierney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
