Moytirra Utd's Comhghall Coyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremiah McStephen in the 6th minute of play. Comhghall Coyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 11th minute of play. Blamhac McBrand hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Breck Hutton sped through Moytirra Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Comhghall Coyle. The audience was convinced that Jeremiah McStephen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Comhghall Coyle was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Comhghall Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin got control of the ball when Ron Costello tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Jeremiah McStephen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Comhghall Coyle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Moytirra Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ballyconnel were winning 0-2.

Moytirra Utd's Comhghall Coyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Moytirra Utd from getting a goal against them. Keelin Costello hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Moytirra Utd's goalkeeper Comhghall Coyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breck Hutton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bairne Deery in the 61st minute of play forced Ballyconnel's goalkeeper Gealan Cassin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breck Hutton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Comhghall Coyle firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ballyconnel's Shannon Todd got a free kick in the 64th minute. Bairne Deery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gealan Cassin having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Boddibevve Jameson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin didn't even have to move. Bairne Deery charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bairne Deery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Moytirra Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairne Deery to maneuver through the defense. If Breck Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breck Hutton got free with Comhghall Coyle in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gealan Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Costello, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Breck Hutton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Comhghall Coyle made a huge save. Bairne Deery hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Breck Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comhghall Coyle having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ballyconnel had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
