After 3 played minutes Glannagaul got a freekick which was hit by Bearnard Martyn. Duff Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Glannagaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearnard Martyn to maneuver through the defense. If Ron Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quirk Todd during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Glannagaul's Quirk Todd got a free kick in the 11th minute. Moytirra Utd's John McLian got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Glannagaul's zone, John McLian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braoin McStephen came out of the goal and John McLian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Glannagaul's Braoin McStephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John McLian in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Glannagaul's Braoin McStephen got control of the ball when Ron Costello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dermot Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Glannagaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duff Scully to maneuver through the defense. Braoin McStephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John McLian in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Glannagaul's Braoin McStephen got control of the ball when Ron Costello tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, John McLian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Braoin McStephen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Duff Scully's late challenge caught a Moytirra Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duff Scully helped the player get up and apologised. 64 minutes into the game, Ron Costello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Braoin McStephen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Quirk Todd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comhghall Coyle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quirk Todd in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comhghall Coyle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Comhghall Coyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quirk Todd's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Quirk Todd put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Comhghall Coyle. After having played for 82 minutes, John McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moytirra Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but John McLian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braoin McStephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John McLian in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Moytirra Utd booed when Glannagaul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breffni Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ron Costello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Braoin McStephen made a huge save. The Moytirra Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
