Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jeremiah McStephen made the kick off which started today's match. Artuir Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 5th minute of the match. If Jeremiah McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute, Gordan Sheridan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes, Ballyconnel's Breck Hutton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Artuir Dempsey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballyconnel reached it. Thanks to some nice moves Breck Hutton could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Artuir Dempsey however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremiah McStephen in the 20th minute of play forced Knockatee AFC's goalkeeper Artuir Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artuir Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremiah McStephen in the 34th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Ballyconnel got a freekick which was hit by Bohannon Harkin. A collision led to Knockatee AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Breck Moran hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Jeremiah McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, Jeremiah McStephen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Artuir Dempsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62ndth minute of the game Breck Hutton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knockatee AFC's Artuir Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artuir Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breck Hutton, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Jeremiah McStephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artuir Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ballyconnel's Breck Hutton in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Knockatee AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Artuir Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breck Hutton in the 75th minute of play. Knockatee AFC's Artuir Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breck Hutton in the 78th minute of play. Biddy Costello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gealan Cassin came out and tried to block the shot, but Biddy Costello slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 81st minute. A hard shot by Blathmacc Robinson from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Gealan Cassin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ballyconnel were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
