Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donlevy Frankson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rowland Glen Crowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donlevy Frankson in the 6th minute of the match. Rowland Glen Crowe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryland Branson in the 11th minute. After 16 played minutes Belgard Utd got a freekick which was hit by Cahir Lester. After a defensive mix-up in Belgard Utd's zone, Bil McPeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor MaCollin came out of the goal and Bil McPeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bil McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Turlough Cronin's late challenge caught a Ballynakilla Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Turlough Cronin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ballynakilla Utd booed when Belgard Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Turlough Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes, Ballynakilla Utd's Torrans Glen Crowe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trevor MaCollin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballynakilla Utd reached it. If Ryland Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glen McLaughlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bil McPeter in the 43rd minute of play forced Belgard Utd's goalkeeper Trevor MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Glen McLaughlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bil McPeter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Belgard Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Britt McFrancise to maneuver through the defense. Donlevy Frankson struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rowland Glen Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgard Utd. After a rather tough play, Ballynakilla Utd's Doney Colwell got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the game, one of Belgard Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 77 minutes into the match, Donlevy Frankson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rowland Glen Crowe. Ballynakilla Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donlevy Frankson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 84th match minute, Belgard Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turlough Cronin to maneuver through the defense. Donlevy Frankson kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Trevor MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bil McPeter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Glen McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryland Branson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rowland Glen Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donlevy Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Ryland Branson made a precise shot to the right of Rowland Glen Crowe. Ballynakilla Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ballynakilla Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
