Bannan Tierney made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Turlough McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. If Cashel Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leap AFC's zone, Turlough McGlynn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bannan Tierney came out of the goal and Turlough McGlynn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cashel Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Leap AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Breas McJohn hit a great ball. Troy Rutherford, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Leap AFC's Bannan Tierney got control of the ball when Turlough McGlynn tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Beatty Murphy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killmacomma's Donleavy Lester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Cashel Taylor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donleavy Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beara McBjarton in the 33rd minute of the match. Cashel Taylor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bannan Tierney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Killmacomma's Todd John ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bannan Tierney. Bannan Tierney yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beara McBjarton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Todd John recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Turlough McGlynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Beatty Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leap AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beatty Murphy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donleavy Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Turlough McGlynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Beara McBjarton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donleavy Lester. That made the score 2-1 in the 70 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beara McBjarton in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donleavy Lester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 minutes of play, Killmacomma's Cashel Taylor made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bannan Tierney was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 91 minutes, Turlough McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killmacomma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turlough McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Killmacomma's Jarlath Lester got a free kick in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Beara McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leap AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beara McBjarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donleavy Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Killmacomma's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
