Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Desmond Doherty got the match started through his kick off. Cuilkillew's Finn Silke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Cuilkillew from getting a goal against them. After 10 played minutes Cuilkillew got a freekick which was hit by Seán Ryan. After recieving a nice pass, Boolyglass's Kevin McJon tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cuilkillew's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Finian Colwell scored to the left of an out of position Finn Silke, making the score, 1-0. Desmond Doherty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Finn Silke having to make a save. Finn Silke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desmond Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cleary Lester hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Brendan Duggan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Finn Silke made a huge save. Desmond Doherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn Silke having to interfere. When Desmond Doherty, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Finn Silke was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Cuilkillew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradon McFrank to maneuver through the defense. Seán Ryan kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bhrighde Taylor to strike the kick off in the second half. Cleary Lester's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Barram Robinson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Finn Silke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desmond Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuilkillew's goalkeeper Finn Silke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Cuilkillew getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Seán Ryan hit a great ball. If Cleary Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes of play, Cuilkillew's Cleary Lester made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barram Robinson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Doherty in the 75th minute of play forced Cuilkillew's goalkeeper Finn Silke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barram Robinson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glenn Holt's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. If Bhrighde Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleary Lester who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Barram Robinson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Seán Ryan struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Barram Robinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuilkillew. The supporters of Boolyglass booed when Cuilkillew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seán Ryan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleary Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Barram Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
