Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Quirk Todd made the kick off which started today's match. Tathan McSteve hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, Quirk Todd recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cathal Ramsey. Quirk Todd showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Reidy McDonald hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Glannagaul's Taveon Beckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cathal Ramsey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Bec Dempsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ballaghmore's Leon Palmer got a free kick in the 18th minute. Braoin McStephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Willson in the 24th minute of the match. Tathan McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Braoin McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Glannagaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearnard Martyn to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Tady Gallagher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cathal Ramsey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Braoin McStephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tathan McSteve in the 39th minute of the match. Braoin McStephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Willson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Glannagaul! The referee gave Ballaghmore a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arnold Savic, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Glannagaul's Braoin McStephen. 1-2. After the first half Ballaghmore were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 55th minute, Bearnard Martyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerard Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tathan McSteve's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braoin McStephen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Ballaghmore's Cathal Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dermot Harkin in the 63rd minute of play. Gerard Willson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Braoin McStephen made a huge save. Braoin McStephen came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ballaghmore's Gerard Willson. But to his dismay, Gerard Willson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Glannagaul's zone, Tathan McSteve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braoin McStephen came out of the goal and Tathan McSteve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Breffni Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glannagaul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballaghmore the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, Glannagaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breffni Dillon to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 84 minutes, Tathan McSteve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballaghmore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tathan McSteve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute of the match Tady Gallagher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cathal Ramsey skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Gerard Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballaghmore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerard Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gerard Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballaghmore's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Willson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braoin McStephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dermot Harkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cathal Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ballaghmore supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ballaghmore would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
