Turlough McGlynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, Killmacomma's goal looked a bit too open when John McLian came free, but Donleavy Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Comhghall Coyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Turlough McGlynn in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Keelin Costello during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Moytirra Utd's Keelin Costello got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the game, John McLian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moytirra Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Killmacomma the free kick. The supporters of Killmacomma booed when Moytirra Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. John McLian didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Turlough McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killmacomma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turlough McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donleavy Lester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ron Costello went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Turlough McGlynn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Comhghall Coyle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Donleavy Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John McLian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Costello in the 32nd minute of play forced Killmacomma's goalkeeper Donleavy Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Derin Tierney fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killmacomma's protests and gave Derin Tierney a yellow card for diving instead. Comhghall Coyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cashel Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Comhghall Coyle managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Killmacomma's Turlough McGlynn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 42nd minute, Keelin Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Comhghall Coyle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eoin McTommy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Killmacomma fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Turlough McGlynn made the kick off in the second half. Moytirra Utd's Ron Costello got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th match minute, Killmacomma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turlough McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Killmacomma's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when John McLian scored to the left of an out of position Donleavy Lester, making the score, 0-3. A collision led to Moytirra Utd getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bairne Deery hit a great ball. John McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Donleavy Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Donleavy Lester successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 74 minutes, Turlough McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killmacomma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turlough McGlynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John McLian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donleavy Lester having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keelin Costello in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donleavy Lester saved Killmacomma from getting behind. A collision led to Killmacomma getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Emmet Beckett hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Turlough McGlynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When John McLian came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Moytirra Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John McLian couldn't finish the play. If Turlough McGlynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Todd John managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killmacomma's supporters rose to their feet, but Todd John was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Comhghall Coyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Moytirra Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
