Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bil McPeter kicked off to start the match. Gealan Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bil McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Glen McLaughlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gealan Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breck Hutton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Rowland Glen Crowe made a huge save. Gealan Cassin came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballynakilla Utd's Glen McLaughlin. But to his dismay, Glen McLaughlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bil McPeter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gealan Cassin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bil McPeter in the 27th minute of play forced Ballyconnel's goalkeeper Gealan Cassin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Ballyconnel got a freekick which was hit by Shannon Todd. 35 minutes into the match, Glen McLaughlin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ballyconnel's Gealan Cassin. Gealan Cassin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rowland Glen Crowe made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Breck Hutton sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremiah McStephen to make the kick off. Ballynakilla Utd's Rowland Glen Crowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breck Hutton in the 53rd minute of play. Breck Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowland Glen Crowe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ballynakilla Utd's Pearce Bayes got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Gealan Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bil McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Torrans Glen Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Bil McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breck Hutton in the 79th minute of play forced Ballynakilla Utd's goalkeeper Rowland Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ballyconnel's Breck Hutton in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballynakilla Utd's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Glen McLaughlin took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Gealan Cassin to make any attempt to save it. Gealan Cassin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bil McPeter in the 92nd minute of play. Bil McPeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ballynakilla Utd walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
