Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Termonbarry's Dawayne McJohnny started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Bell McLiam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Myrtlegrove's zone, Raonall McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rooney Gollogley came out of the goal and Raonall McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dawayne McJohnny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rooney Gollogley having to interfere. Myrtlegrove's Braoin McAaron got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rooney Gollogley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raonall McLiam in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Braoin McAaron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irwin McBjarton. Termonbarry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braoin McAaron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Donoghue Cooney's late challenge caught a Termonbarry's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donoghue Cooney helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Myrtlegrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donoghue Cooney to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes, Termonbarry's Brann Caffrey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rooney Gollogley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Termonbarry reached it. In the 29th minute, Doney Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, one of Termonbarry:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Termonbarry. In the 36th minute, Phelim McLiam reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Irwin McBjarton. The goal made the score 3-0. Braoin McAaron's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Irwin McBjarton firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cian Myler lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Termonbarry:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Myrtlegrove:s goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Phelim McLiam made the kick off in the second half. Rooney Gollogley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raonall McLiam in the 53rd minute. When Myrtlegrove's Ailín Myler in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Termonbarry's goalie prevented a goal. Raonall McLiam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rooney Gollogley having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ailín Myler during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Ailín Myler. Irwin McBjarton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phelim McLiam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Phelim McLiam made a precise shot to the right of Irwin McBjarton. Termonbarry's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Irwin McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braoin McAaron in the 75th minute of play. After 84 played minutes Termonbarry got a freekick which was hit by Benedict Duggan. Phelim McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Irwin McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Myrtlegrove's goalkeeper Rooney Gollogley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raonall McLiam. Phelim McLiam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irwin McBjarton having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Phelim McLiam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irwin McBjarton was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Myrtlegrove fans cheered their team off the field, for while Termonbarry had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
