Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Berke Prunty got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blar Sheridan during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Blar Sheridan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Don Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britt McWillie having to interfere. With a little luck, Kilnagross Utd's Britt McWillie got control of the ball when Don Sheridan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes in the game, Donal Morrison fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Britt McWillie having to interfere. Donal Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Britt McWillie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berke Prunty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Finian Branson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Donal Morrison had several of the Kilnagross Utd's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Britt McWillie as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Don Sheridan came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Gortroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Sheridan couldn't finish the play. Britt McWillie made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Don Sheridan sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Kilnagross Utd defense, Kyle McSteven kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Britt McWillie. The Kilnagross Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Britt McWillie should have stopped the shot. Donal Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britt McWillie having to interfere. Berke Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Donal Morrison came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Gortroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donal Morrison couldn't finish the play. Aengus Todd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Britt McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donal Morrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. If Donal Morrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Britt McWillie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Sheridan in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donal Morrison was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Donal Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Britt McWillie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donal Morrison in the 53rd minute of play forced Kilnagross Utd's goalkeeper Britt McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 minutes, Donal Morrison mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortroe and the Kilnagross Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Donal Morrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barhart McAlphie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Finian Branson. Gortroe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Finian Branson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Aengus Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Finian Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Don Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gortroe's Donal Morrison in 68 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Britt McWillie guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Britt McWillie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Kyle McSteven made a precise shot to the right of Britt McWillie. Kilnagross Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Britt McWillie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donal Morrison in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Berke Prunty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finian Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kilnagross Utd booed when Gortroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaine Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aengus Todd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Finian Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
