Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robert Walker started the match with the kick off. In the 10th match minute, Cahererillan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Branigan Costello to maneuver through the defense. Arnold Branson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cianán Lavine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnold Branson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cianán Lavine in the 21st minute of play. If Belock McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26thth minute of the game Robert Walker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cahererillan's Dónal Gough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 29 minutes, Robert Walker made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cahererillan's Dónal Gough tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Peadair MaCollin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dónal Gough having to make a save. Arnold Branson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corey McLian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corey McLian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Peadair MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knockbodaly's supporters rose to their feet, but Peadair MaCollin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dónal Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Knockbodaly getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Caroll Myler hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corey McLian in the 58th minute of play forced Knockbodaly's goalkeeper Arnold Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Knockbodaly's zone, Donall Gillmour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Branson came out of the goal and Donall Gillmour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Breanne Deery fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knockbodaly's protests and gave Breanne Deery a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Breanne Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Cianán Lavine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knockbodaly's goalkeeper Arnold Branson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Corey McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnold Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corey McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Brendanus Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cahererillan's zone, Breanne Deery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dónal Gough came out of the goal and Breanne Deery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Robert Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dónal Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knockbodaly's Arnold Branson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Knockbodaly from getting a goal against them. Cianán Lavine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Knockbodaly's Peadair MaCollin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dónal Gough narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Corey McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cahererillan's supporters rose to their feet, but Corey McLian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnold Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Corey McLian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
