Ballygarett AFC's Berrin Molloy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Palmer in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Bow McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Courthoyle's Quinton Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Prunty in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Courthoyle defense, Fionn O'Neill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quinton Lavine. The Courthoyle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quinton Lavine should have stopped the shot. In the 21st play minute Bercan Horgan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Quinton Lavine. 2-0. Quinton Lavine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarlath Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Aron Prunty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinton Lavine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jarlath Tracy fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballygarett AFC's protests and gave Jarlath Tracy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballygarett AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jarlath Tracy hit a great ball. Quinton Lavine made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Bragain Grant sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Courthoyle's Bras McWillie got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarlath Tracy made a kick off. Courthoyle's Quinton Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bragain Grant in the 57th minute of play. Baoithin Walker hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Courthoyle's goal looked a bit too open when Jarlath Tracy came free, but Quinton Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Fionn O'Neill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ballygarett AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Fionn O'Neill hit a great ball. Bow McPaul might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Berrin Molloy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bow McPaul ran back to his position shaking his head. Basil Moran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Berrin Molloy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Birr McDonald charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birr McDonald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Quinton Lavine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bercan Horgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 86 minutes on the clock, Birr McDonald commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Courthoyle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarlath Tracy in the 90th minute of play forced Courthoyle's goalkeeper Quinton Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quinton Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fionn O'Neill in the 91st minute of play. Quinton Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarlath Tracy, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Braydon Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Berrin Molloy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quinton Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fionn O'Neill in the 100th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ballygarett AFC fully deserved thier win.
