An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedilia McPhil in the 17th minute of play forced Cahererillan's goalkeeper Dónal Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cahererillan booed when Shronowen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendann Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bevan McNamara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bedilia McPhil in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dónal Gough saved Cahererillan from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Branigan Costello during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corey McLian was the one to do the kick off. In the 72ndth minute of the game Cianán Lavine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shronowen's Bevan McNamara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cianán Lavine in the 75th minute of play forced Shronowen's goalkeeper Bevan McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bevan McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rannal Taylor in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Cianán Lavine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cahererillan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Cahererillan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Shronowen's performance. The match ended with a win for Shronowen.
