Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Robert Walker started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Knockbodaly getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Belock McStephen hit a great ball. Conor McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Robert Walker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bedilia McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rowley Ryan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Arnold Branson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedilia McPhil in the 30th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Caroll Myler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Shronowen's Brendann Todd got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Robert Walker struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Bevan McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knockbodaly. In the 34th minute Caroll Myler suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Shronowen getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Toren Grant hit a great ball. Peadair MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bevan McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rowley Ryan's late challenge caught a Knockbodaly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rowley Ryan helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Shronowen got a freekick which was hit by Rowley Ryan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Bedilia McPhil made the kick off in the second half. Conor McVictor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Arnold Branson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bedilia McPhil might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnold Branson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bedilia McPhil ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Peadair MaCollin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bevan McNamara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bevan McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peadair MaCollin in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match, Bedilia McPhil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnold Branson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 86th minute, Rowley Ryan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Knockbodaly's Arnold Branson didn't even have to move. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bedilia McPhil in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Branson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belock McStephen hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Arnold Branson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conor McVictor in the 93rd minute. Robert Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Knockbodaly were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Shronowen for a fine match.
