Fergus AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Becc Cooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dónal Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Corey McLian elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Toran Moran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cianán Lavine in the 16th minute. A collision led to Fergus AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jack Ghee hit a great ball. Donall Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Aodh Todd charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aodh Todd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aodh Todd hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Cahererillan defense, Rylie Dimson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dónal Gough. The Cahererillan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dónal Gough should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Fergus AFC's Louie MaCollin got a free kick in the 28th minute. Corey McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34thth minute of the game Corey McLian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fergus AFC's Toran Moran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Corey McLian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Moran having to interfere. Cahererillan's Branigan Costello got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Branigan Costello off the ground. Branigan Costello hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Rowen McWilliam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dónal Gough. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cianán Lavine to make the kick off. Fergus AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cianán Lavine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Cianán Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Moran having to interfere. The supporters of Cahererillan booed when Fergus AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aodh Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rylie Dimson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Dónal Gough made a huge save. Toran Moran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cianán Lavine went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.
