Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Clogga's Brak Hutton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Laurencetown's goal looked a bit too open when Brak Hutton came free, but Coran McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saoirse McLian took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Banban McTommy. Banban McTommy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Berchan McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Berchan McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Laurencetown booed when Clogga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seosamh Ramsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes Clogga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Beamard Mulvihill who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Beamard Mulvihill got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Banban McTommy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saoirse McLian in the 23rd minute of play forced Clogga's goalkeeper Banban McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Saoirse Ramsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes Clogga got a freekick which was hit by Seosamh Ramsey. After 28 minutes, Seosamh Ramsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clogga and the Laurencetown players grew even worse after the yellow card. Seosamh Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Saoirse Ramsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saoirse Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saoirse Ramsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Saoirse McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berchan McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Banban McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berchan McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Banban McTommy having to interfere. Saoirse Ramsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Banban McTommy having to make a save. Banban McTommy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berchan McPhil, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Saoirse McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saoirse McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Banban McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurencetown's Berchan McPhil got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Coran McJohnny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brak Hutton, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Edward Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Banban McTommy came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Laurencetown's Saoirse McLian. But to his dismay, Saoirse McLian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Clogga's Banban McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berchan McPhil in the 73rd minute of play. Banban McTommy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cormac McAlphie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Clogga's goal looked a bit too open when Berchan McPhil came free, but Banban McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saoirse Ramsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Banban McTommy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saoirse Ramsey ran back to his position shaking his head. Saoirse Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 minutes of play, Laurencetown's Saoirse Ramsey made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Banban McTommy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cormac McAlphie struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Banban McTommy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laurencetown. Banban McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berchan McPhil in the 94th minute of the match. Clogga's Banban McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saoirse Ramsey in the 95th minute of play. The Clogga fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Laurencetown were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
