The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwin McGlynn during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Duff Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tawny AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duff Costello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boroimhe Hunt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Duff Costello made a precise shot to the right of Boroimhe Hunt. Clon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Berkeley Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Enda McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enda McFrancise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berkeley Cronin in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Donahue McLiam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boroimhe Hunt was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Berkeley Cronin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enda McFrancise having to make a save. Enda McFrancise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reamann McNamara in the 40th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donahue McLiam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berkeley Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Enda McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Berkeley Cronin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 4-1 became the score in the 57th minute when Berkeley Cronin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play Tawny AFC's Edwin McGlynn was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tawny AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Clon's Royan Crowe got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Enda McFrancise. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Berkeley Cronin managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a little luck, Tawny AFC's Enda McFrancise got control of the ball when Berkeley Cronin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Beamard Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bressal Dillon fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clon's protests and gave Bressal Dillon a yellow card for diving instead. Tawny AFC's Beamard Robinson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Clon's goal looked a bit too open when Donahue McLiam came free, but Boroimhe Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beamard Robinson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boroimhe Hunt having to make a save. After 91 minutes of play, Tawny AFC's Duff Costello made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boroimhe Hunt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reamann McNamara was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tawny AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Clon for a fine match.
