Graystown's Baine McJames got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clogga's goalkeeper Banban McTommy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dermot Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philib Delaney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dermot Dunne's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Baiste Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Dermot Dunne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philib Delaney was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Philib Delaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dermot Dunne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dermot Dunne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Philib Delaney made a huge save. Dermot Dunne in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philib Delaney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Graystown getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Donegal Cronin hit a great ball. Dermot Dunne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philib Delaney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The Clogga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clogga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
