Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ciarán Todd started the match with the kick off. Tomás McCready could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Brian Ramsey made a huge save. With a little luck, Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey got control of the ball when Tomás McCready tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciarán Todd in the 11th minute of play forced Laurencetown's goalkeeper Coran McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berchan McPhil in the 14th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Monasteroris FC got a freekick which was hit by Ryon Callaghan. In the 18th minute, Laurencetown's Saoirse McLian ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brian Ramsey. Brian Ramsey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás McCready in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Douglas McTommy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monasteroris FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas McTommy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Monasteroris FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendan Holt during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Laurencetown booed when Monasteroris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendan Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Cormac McAlphie sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Brian Ramsey threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cormac McAlphie this time. Brian Ramsey was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Berchan McPhil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Berchan McPhil really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 52 minutes of play, Laurencetown's Saoirse Ramsey made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Ramsey was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Monasteroris FC's goal looked a bit too open when Berchan McPhil came free, but Brian Ramsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Ramsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berchan McPhil in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Monasteroris FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Aodh Johnson hit a great ball. Laurencetown's Tomás McCready got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryon Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute Tomás McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Ramsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Monasteroris FC's Ryon Callaghan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Brian Ramsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendan Holt was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th minute, Brendan Holt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Laurencetown had played much better football throughout.
