Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Baine McJames took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Graystown's Gearoid Jameson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the game, Bras Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monasteroris FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Graystown the free kick. A collision led to Monasteroris FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Bras Dillon hit a great ball. Gearoid Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Ramsey having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braon McLiam in the 16th minute of play forced Monasteroris FC's goalkeeper Brian Ramsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baine McJames scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brian Ramsey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monasteroris FC's Ryon Callaghan suffered a sore thigh after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gearoid Jameson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gearoid Jameson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Graystown got a freekick which was hit by Gearoid Jameson. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ciarán Todd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monasteroris FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciarán Todd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philib Delaney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Baine McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciarán Todd struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Philib Delaney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monasteroris FC. Monasteroris FC's Brian Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearoid Jameson in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciarán Todd to make the kick off. The supporters of Graystown booed when Monasteroris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bras Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gearoid Jameson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brian Ramsey came out and tried to block the shot, but Gearoid Jameson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 62nd minute. Brian Ramsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baine McJames in the 66th minute of the match. Philib Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciarán Todd in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Baine McJames kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brian Ramsey. That made the score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. The supporters of Graystown booed when Monasteroris FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bras Dillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Graystown's Baiste Caffrey broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Graystown's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
