Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Finian McPhilip started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Millroad's goalkeeper Brite Keegan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berkeley Cronin. In the 7th minute, Berkeley Cronin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Millroad's zone, Reamann McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brite Keegan came out of the goal and Reamann McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berkeley Cronin struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Brite Keegan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clon. After 14 played minutes Millroad got a freekick which was hit by Barran Glen Crowe. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Reamann McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clon's supporters rose to their feet, but Reamann McNamara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brite Keegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brite Keegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reamann McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berkeley Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Brite Keegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Barran Glen Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clon's Royan Crowe shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Brite Keegan but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Millroad's Bradigan Caffey got a free kick in the 40th minute. Millroad's Brite Keegan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Millroad from getting a goal against them. In the 44thth minute of the game Reamann McNamara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millroad's Brite Keegan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Reamann McNamara made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd play minute Richard Silke came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Boroimhe Hunt. 1-1. After having played for 57 minutes, Reamann McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reamann McNamara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Millroad getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Barran Glen Crowe hit a great ball. If Reamann McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reamann McNamara in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brite Keegan saved Millroad from getting behind. After 77 minutes, Torey Willson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Millroad and the Clon players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Reamann McNamara sped through Millroad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brite Keegan. After a defensive mix-up in Millroad's zone, Berkeley Cronin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brite Keegan came out of the goal and Berkeley Cronin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Royan Crowe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brite Keegan. Millroad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Clon's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
