Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Piers Martyn got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Laurencetown's Tomás McCready sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George McIan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Saoirse McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laurencetown's supporters rose to their feet, but Saoirse McLian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George McIan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Coran McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyne McWillie in the 6th minute of play. Coran McJohnny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rowen Todd in the 12th minute. Saoirse McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. George McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donal Mulvihill in the 17th minute of play forced Laurencetown's goalkeeper Coran McJohnny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás McCready in the 20th minute of play. Coran McJohnny made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Donal Mulvihill sent off a good shot on target. If Donal Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Rowen Todd recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Coran McJohnny. Rowen Todd showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Lugnadeffa getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Louie Silke hit a great ball. Rowen Todd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Coran McJohnny made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Louie Silke got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Coran McJohnny quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
George McIan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás McCready showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. A collision led to Lugnadeffa getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Boyne McWillie hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tomás McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laurencetown's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás McCready was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George McIan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boyne McWillie took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Coran McJohnny. Coran McJohnny dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Lugnadeffa's Boyne McWillie got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Lugnadeffa's goal looked a bit too open when Beamard Mulvihill came free, but George McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tomás McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laurencetown's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás McCready was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George McIan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Lugnadeffa's Boyne McWillie got a free kick in the 76th minute. Laurencetown's Tomás McCready got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lugnadeffa's zone, Tomás McCready stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George McIan came out of the goal and Tomás McCready tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George McIan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás McCready in the 85th minute. Berchan McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. George McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cormac McAlphie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George McIan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás McCready in the 93rd minute. Tomás McCready who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of George McIan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Despite being the better team, Laurencetown failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
