Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roordan Rutherford took the kick off in the first half of the match. Loughlin McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David McBjarton, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Darragh Costello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aubrey John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roordan Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nolagh's Loughlin McWillie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David McBjarton in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nolagh's Beothach Delaney got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Buach Perth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loughlin McWillie skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roordan Rutherford in the 19th minute of play forced Cloonbannin's goalkeeper Aubrey John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seoirse Prunty hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cloonbannin's Aubrey John got control of the ball when Thom Glen Crowe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thom Glen Crowes short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Aubrey John to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roordan Rutherford in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aubrey John saved Cloonbannin from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Thom Glen Crowe could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Aubrey John however easily saved by the left post. Darragh Costello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Loughlin McWillie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roordan Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Cloonbannin got a freekick which was hit by Geary Hughes. If David McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 40th minute when Darragh Costello elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Roordan Rutherford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cloonbannin's Aubrey John was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Aubrey John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brion McBjarton in the 50th minute of the match. A collision led to Nolagh getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pierce Dalton hit a great ball. If Darragh Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When David McBjarton fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloonbannin's protests and gave David McBjarton a yellow card for diving instead. David McBjarton got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 62 minutes into the match, Cloonbannin's goal looked a bit too open when Roordan Rutherford came free, but Aubrey John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Cloonbannin's goal looked a bit too open when Roordan Rutherford came free, but Aubrey John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aubrey John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roordan Rutherford in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Brennon McPhilip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nolagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cloonbannin the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Nolagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brennon McPhilip to maneuver through the defense.
